Terms
Unused time does not carry over.
Your web address is registered in your name. You pay month to month and can stop with one month's notice. When you leave, I hand over your site files, your logins and your web address. The first month is paid with the final payment for your build.
If I do not look after your site, work on it is quoted separately.
Where my hosting provider keeps information about people who visit your site, such as server logs, I use it only to run and secure your site. I keep it confidential and keep security measures in place. If I have reasonable grounds to believe it has been compromised, I tell you without delay. My hosting provider is Afrihost. I do not count visitors or add tracking unless you ask, and we write it into our agreement first.
What I do not build: online shops, logins or member areas, booking systems, links into your business systems, or complex business-to-business sites. Support is on working days, not 24/7.

Price and payment
What do I get for R6,500, and what for R16,500?
R6,500 buys a one-page personal site with 4 to 6 pictures, one round of changes, ready in about a week. R16,500 buys a small business site of 5 to 8 pages with 10 to 14 pictures, two rounds of changes, ready in about two weeks. Both include the words, written with you, a look chosen with you, and set-up so Google can find you.
What does R450 a month cover?
R450 a month. It keeps your site online and secure, renews your web address, keeps backups, checks every day that the site is up, and includes up to 30 minutes of small changes a month. Unused time does not carry over.
What does an extra change cost?
R750 an hour, charged in half hours. An extra page is R2,500. I tell you the cost before I start. If you pay R450 a month, the first 30 minutes of small changes each month are included.
How do I pay, and is VAT included?
No VAT is charged. You pay half when you sign the quote and half before your site goes live, by card or EFT through a payment link I send with the quote. Nothing goes live, and no logo files or ownership pass to you, until you have paid in full. The R450 monthly plan is paid each month in advance.
Do you work with people outside South Africa?
Yes. Ask, and I will quote in your own currency.
The build
Do I need to write anything or supply photos?
No. We write the words together, and I make the pictures.
How does it start?
Email me at adriaanmostert@outlook.com, and we have a short email chat or a free 15-minute call. I then send a one-page quote. Once you sign it and pay half, we have a two-hour conversation about your business and what the site must do.
How long does it take?
About one week for a personal site and about two weeks for a small business site.
How many changes can I ask for?
One round of changes on a personal site and two on a small business site. A round means you send me all your changes at once and I make them. More changes are R750 an hour.
Can you work on a website I already have?
Sometimes. If I do not look after the site, I look at it first and quote for the work separately.
What isn't included?
Online shops, logins, booking systems, links into your business systems, and forms that collect people's details. Keeping your site online after it is built is R450 a month. A logo or brand kit costs extra.
Ownership and leaving
Who owns my website and my web address?
Your web address is registered in your name. The site is yours once it is paid in full.
What if I want to leave later?
Give me one month's notice. I hand over your site files, your logins and your web address so you can move them wherever you like.
What if I'm not happy with how it's going?
You can stop at any time before launch, when your site goes live. Tell me in writing. You pay a share of the price for the stage we have reached, which is a fair estimate of the work I have done.

If the work I have actually done is worth less than the share, counted at R750 an hour, you pay the lower amount.
If the work cannot go on because you, or the person it is for, has died or is in hospital, you pay nothing and I refund everything within 7 days.
Logos and brand kits work the same way. If your package has 1 revision round, the 50% share applies from the first design until launch. I refund anything you have paid above your share within 7 days of you telling me you are stopping. You keep everything you gave me. My designs, pictures and drafts stay mine and you may not use them. If I have to stop, I refund everything you have paid within 7 days. The R450 monthly plan is separate: one month's notice.
Who owns the work before I've paid in full?
I do. Everything I design, write, generate or keep online for you stays mine until you have paid the full price. Your web address is already in your name. Once you have paid in full, I assign to you the copyright I hold in your website, and in your logo or brand kit if you bought one (the logo and brand kit by a short signed page). Anything you gave me, such as your own photos or words, stays yours throughout. This does not take away any right you have under the law.
Logos and responsibility
Can you design my logo or brand, and who owns it?
Yes. A logo is R4,500 and a brand kit R9,500, or R8,000 with a website. Logos are made with AI tools and finished by me. Once you have paid in full, the logo, and the brand kit if you buy one, is yours to use and change, and you may register the logo as a trade mark. This is done by a short signed page. I may show it in my portfolio and on my website, with credit to me. I do not guarantee that a logo can be registered, is unique, or is free of other people's rights, so get a trade mark search before you file. This does not limit my liability for gross negligence by me or anyone acting for me, or for anything the law does not allow me to exclude.
Who checks that my site and logo do not copy someone else's work?
We both do. I check every picture and logo I make before I show it to you, and I never knowingly copy anyone's work. The words, pictures and ideas you give me or approve are yours to check before your site goes live, and your logo is yours to check before you use it or apply to register it as a trade mark. No one can check every existing work, so I cannot promise that anything I make is unique, free of other people's rights, or able to be registered. Similar results can be made for other people. Logos are made with AI tools and finished by me, so have a trade mark search done before you apply to register. None of this limits my responsibility for gross negligence (a very serious failure to take care) by me or anyone acting for me, or for anything the law does not let me exclude.
AI sessions
What happens in an AI session, and what do I bring?
We work on your own screen with the tools you already use. We pick one task that takes up your time and set AI up to help with it, with clear rules on what it may and may not do. Bring your laptop and one task you would like off your plate, and be ready to sign in to your usual tools. Do not bring customer details.
Will AI training work for a very small business?
Yes. The sessions are made for people who work alone or in small teams, and we start with one task you choose.
